The Rooftop Encounter – Chelmsford

Wednesday 20th October, a group of around a dozen local church leaders in Chelmsford, Essex, gathered at The City’s Cathedral. Following breakfast together, they read Acts 10, climbed a very precarious spiral staircase to the top of the tower, looked right across their communities, and all heard God speak to them.

It was an incredibly encouraging time. Phil Hannam, senior pastor of Life Church and Chelmsford’s Rooftop Ambassador, was most enthusiastic over what had taken place:

‘The Chelmsford Rooftop Encounter provided us with an amazing opportunity to spend time listening and seeking after God’s heart and plans for our city. Everyone there shared what God has revealed to them, and this was a great unifying experience as well as encouragement that He is doing more than we realise. Things will never be the same again…’

The leaders intend to meet again, to connect with others, to further address the question. Jesus, what are you doing in our City and how can we join in with Your mission?
